WHAT: “Good Morning, Magpie“
WHERE: I came across these guys (and girl) in the pages of Alt Press about a year ago when their previous album “In Bocca al Lupo” was being released. Needless to say their moniker intrigued me, and believe me, it’s not what you think. Ever since getting hooked on Murder by Death I have been a big fan. Now cut to the present when I find myself only a couple of minutes from Bloomington, Indiana, home of Murder By Death. Now imagine my utter horror when I find out that they kicked off their most recent tour of their new album “Good Morning, Magpie” at a local bar here, and I MISSED them because I was still new to the area. If missing them performing a home show with their new album wasn’t bad enough, the bar was also serving up $1 PBRs that night… FML!
WHY: Whenever you feel the need to have a soundtrack to a night of whiskeys, PBR chasers, and some boot stompin look no further than Murder By Death.
